Informal, friendly and in Danish
Du is the norm in Danish customer service, and replies are usually short and friendly. Many Danes speak good English, which tempts companies to serve them in English; customers notice, and service in their own language is what they expect from a brand that sells to them in Danish.
One Nordic queue is usually a false economy
- Danish, Norwegian and Swedish are related, but written Danish differs in spelling and vocabulary.
- Customers read a reply in a neighbouring language as a sign that the company did not bother.
- Separate queues per language, with shared processes and one knowledge base structure, keep quality and reporting clear.
Data protection
EU GDPR applies to customers in Denmark. Kosovo has no EU adequacy decision, so transfers rely on standard contractual clauses and a transfer assessment. This is general information, not legal advice; our page on GDPR and outsourcing to Kosovo explains more.
